Meet George
What do you do at Mission?
As President and Sales Manager, I manage the business overall including admin and sales. I also handle a few key accounts. Sales is, and will always be, near and dear to my heart.
How did you end up in this field?
I am one of those people who grew up in the business. In high school and college, I worked for the manufacturer’s rep firm my father founded, PSI. I then began my official career at IBM until I returned to PSI for two years before starting Mission with my father in 1997.
What do you like to do outside of work?
As a father of four, I love spending time with my kids and watching them grow in their faith and careers. I enjoy music, sports, travel, and entertaining with my wife, Robyn. I have also had the privilege of working in several church and para church ministries.
What’s your favorite thing you’ve been a part of at Mission?
I love to see projects I have worked on all over the world. Any of my kids can tell you I’m known to point at a device and exclaim, “I have a chip in that!” Over thirty years into my career, it’s still fun to work with customers to leverage technology to fulfill a specific application. Recently, I had the opportunity to build a digital sign for a customer that helped completely transform their business model. Now that’s rewarding.

What’s the nerdiest thing about you? I sang in choir in middle school, high school, four years of college, and later at church.

What was your childhood dream job? President of the United States
What’s your superpower? I think I can see the best in people. I try to encourage them to be the best they can be. In my heart, I try to see others as God actually views each person, with their gifts, abilities, and purpose.
What’s something most people don’t know about you? I have a fictional alter ego named Taylor Bruce. He plays rhythm guitar in an obscure rock band called The Optimistics. We tour the greater Carver county area.
